MoU between Railway Protection Force and ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth
Welfare of RPF officers & staff is not limited to the Wellbeing of RPF personnel but involves the wellbeing, upliftment, career progression of their families as well.
On 25.05.2022, RPF has signed a MoU with ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth for imparting vocational skills training to the wards of RPF personnel especially those who are drop-outs from regular educational formats for various reasons through ICICI Academy for Skills, thereby enabling them to participate in the growth and development of nation. The training will focus on building life skills including effective communication, etiquette and grooming and it being a vocational skill program.
MoU between RPF & BBA India
On 25.05.2022, RPF has signed a MoU with Association for Voluntary Action (AVA), also known as Bachpan Bachao Aandolan for raid & rescue support, capacity building and sensitization for a trafficking free nation.
RPF with technical support from AVA indents to implement sensitization & training workshops for RPF personnel identified across about 750 Anti Human Trafficking Units and other railway personnel/police posted/working at Railway Station and will design & implement a joint campaign and communication strategy, raid & rescue program utilizing the intelligence and network of AVA(BBA) in order to build a robust safety net around children & women to ensure that they are protected against trafficking.
Civic Action Plan by RPF
An incident of arson of RPF barrack in South Central Railway triggered the issue of discontentment simmering in local areas where the people were involved in the theft of coal who are reluctant in crime considering it their livelihood. It was felt that there is need to interact with the locals involved in such crime and uplift their living and socio-economic condition to bring them in the mainstream.
As a part of Civic Action Plan, RPF exhaustively made analysis and chalked out program for their upliftment in a phased manner. In the pilot project 04 Zones i.e. ER, CR, WR &NR where advised to run Civic Action programme in Coordination with Dedicated Freight corridor Corporation India Ltd. (DFCCIL). DFCCIL has sanctioned an estimated amount of Rs. 4.43 crores to carry out this Civic Action Plan through their Corporate Social Responsibility fund.
