EASTERN RAILWAY

After bifurcation of erstwhile Eastern Railway in the year 2002, the RPF Training Centre at Dhanbad later shifted to Mokamah became under the control of East Central Railway.  Accordingly, the necessity of RPF Training Institute for Easter Railway was felt. The “RPF Zonal Training Centre” for Eastern Railway was established at Kanchrapara in the year 2006. In the month of June’2019 it has been upgraded as Multi Disciplinary Specialized Training Institute. It is situated in Officers’ Colony/Kanchrapara at the distance of one kilometer from Kanchrapara Railway Station in Sealdah-Ranaghat section and 48 kilometer away from Kolkata city. The training institute is spread over 20 Acres  or 80,937 (Sq. M).

 

It imparts various types of training including initial course training for RPF Constable and ancillary. There are three class rooms having Interactive digital board (it can works without mouse and key board) Video projector connected with desktop computer having internet connection. Class Rooms are equipped with Desk with low bench. PA system is used for lecture. There is provision of Generator set are use for non interrupted power supply. Firing simulator is also available for practice/training of officers/staff. There is a separate Computer Lab fitted with projector and each computer are connected with internet facility.There is large parade ground and play ground having football ground, volley ball court, Badminton Court as well as well-equipped modern gymnasium. There is also modern kitchen facility and spacious dining hall for messing of trainees.
